Year 7 Vaccinations Students in year 7 are offered free vaccines for diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (dTpa) and human papillomavirus (HPV). Year 7 mainstream classes - When : Thursday 4 April (periods 1-4) Where : Broken Hill North Public School Hall Year 7 support classes - When : Thursday 4 April (period 5) Where : Broken Hill High School site School Vaccination consent is now online. Consent must be completed prior to Thursday 4 April. Please see how to provide consent below. Vaccination will only be provided at school if consent has been received. For more information on vaccination visit: www.health.nsw.gov.au/schoolvaccination How to provide consent: 1. To complete online consent for your child’s school vaccinations, visit: https://nswhealth.service-now.com/school or scan the QR code below. 2. Click the login with ‘Service NSW Account’ button and log in using your Service NSW details. This is the same account you may already use to renew your driver’s licence. If you don’t have a Service NSW account, refer to Service NSW to create one. 3. Update or confirm your personal details in Service NSW as required. 4. Complete the School Vaccination Consent Form for your child/ren. You will need to: a) Enter your child’s personal details b) Provide the Medicare card details for you and your child c) Read the linked Parent Information Sheet and privacy statement d) Provide consent If you or your child do not have a Medicare card, consent can still be provided by requesting a paper-based consent form directly from your child’s school.

This program will be an opportunity for year 10 students to explore potential future study and career options in the context of their upcoming senior study selections. Macquarie University staff members from all four faculties (Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Medicine, Health, and Human Sciences, Macquarie Business School, and Faculty of Science and Engineering) along with representatives from a range of local employment and education providers will facilitate hands-on, interactive workshops to showcase their field of study or work. When: Thursday 11 April Where: Broken Hill Musicians Club Time: 9:00am – 1:40pm Transport: Students should arrive at school as per normal on the day. They will be transported to and from the Broken Hill Musicians Club by bus. Cost: Nil Uniform: students must wear their school uniform. Requirements:Students will need to supply their own lunch.

Biology Field Trip Compulsory Biology Excursion – Calperum Station When : Tuesday April 30 Depart Broken Hill High School 7.00am for departure at 7.30am Friday 3 May Arrive at Broken Hill High School 4.00pm Where : Calperum Station – 10 kilometres north of Renmark Transport : Two Minibuses driven by Teachers Cost : $200 – Due by Monday 1 April **The trip is being subsidised by grants and fundraising of chocolate boxes** Additional : All meals and snacks will be provided whilst at the camp. Students will need to provide own drinks and snacks for the bus trip or bring money to purchase on the way. Teachers : Miss Emma Camilleri and Miss Chloe Ralph A booklet contained the full itinerary will be provided once finalised by Calperum Station.
